Hungarian Wines in the realm of ice wines – a wine dinner at Niagara

Árpád Park Hungarian Hall and Community Center in Niagara Falls was the venue of the wine dinner on 23 October 2015, organized by Vinum Tokaj Canada as part of the celebration series launched by the Hungarian Cultural Council of Canada and the Hungarian Canadian Cultural Centre.

A presentation held by sommelier Joseph Safian was preceding the gala dinner, exposing the Hungarian wine regions, the tradition of viticulture and introducing Hungarian wines with special focus on the dry and sweet variants from Tokaj carrying real special characteristics.

Among the guests of the wine presentation and dinner we could welcome Árpád János Potápi Secretary of State for National Policy, dr. István Grezsa Ministerial Commissioner, Károly Páncél, Chairman of the Committee on National Cohesion, dr. Bálint Ódor Ambassador of Hungary, dr. Stefánia Szabó Consul General of Hungary inToronto, Ágnes Somorjai, President of the Hungarian Cultural Council of Canada, as well as grantees of the Kőrösi Csoma Sándor program.

The Dry by Tokaj and Mád Furmint enjoying extraordinary popularity during the tasting show were offered during the dinner to accompany the dishes served.
