The Hungarian-Canadian Business Association celebrated its 5th anniversary of organization with Tokaj wines. The tender issued by the LCBO for procurement of white wine has given a particular actuality of the event, as it could constitute a breakthrough in the introduction of Tokaj wines to the Canadian market.
The Tokaj Wine Boutique Restaurant, opened in December 2013, has already hosted many prestigious events which had as aim the strengthening of Canadian Hungarian business relationships, presentation of Hungarian gastronomy and wine culture. This time, the place was picked up by the Hungarian-Canadian Business Association to celebrate its 5th anniversary. The Restaurant, which serves also as House of the Hungarian Wines, offered a dinner with those Tokaj wines Dry by Tokaj, a Sweet by Tokaj és Mád Furmint which were especially produced and designed for the Canadian market.
Mrs. Eszter Tóth, President of the Association and Mrs. Stefánia Szabó, General Consul of Hungary addressed the guests of the dinner. They highlighted those goals set up which help both the Association and Consulate to act as bridges between Hungary and Canada, between enterprises of these countries and build a network of activities and companies which would result in successfully realized business activities. The General Consul expressed her acknowledgements to representatives of Vinum Tokaj International and Vinum Tokaj Canada for their commitment and work performed to open new markets in Canada for the Hungarian wines, and shared the hope to see the wines available soon not only in the Restaurant, but also on the shelves of wine shops.
Balla Attila, President of Vinum Tokaj International underlined the efforts of wine makers from Tokaj to achieve better and better results with their wines, to contribute to their international reputation by assuring a constant high level of quality. The private-owned wineries of the region strive to produce such premium, reliable type of wines which could help building up the global renown of the wine region and win the wine lovers to become engaged, haunting Tokaj wine consumers.
The event, honored also by the presence of Mr. Corneliu Chisu, Member of the Parliament, represented a new stage in the promotion of Tokaj wines, in broadening the consumer network and contributing to joint business success.
