„A little bit of home” – wine tasting dinner at the Tokaji Wine Boutique Restaurant

The new wine promotion project in Canada was launched with a playful program. The Tokaji Wine Boutique Restaurant operating as a featured site for the events conducted between 2013-15 hosted the first wine tasting dinner on 12 September 2015.

Prior to the presentation of the wines, “Karinthy ring” winner comedian András Péter Kovács, member of the Budapest Duma Theater presented the performance “A little bit of home” grounding the atmosphere for a real cheerful evening where humor and wines played the leading role.

Welcome speech was delivered by Sándor Balla, President of Vinum Tokaj Canada. He assessed the achievements of the past year and a half, the business contacts established and outlined the objectives that the new wine promotion program is intended to be implemented in the context of access to new markets, make the Hungarian wines known as widely as possible and further develop business opportunities inherent in wines.

The wines paired with and served along with the Hungarian dishes were presented to the dinner guests by sommelier Joseph Safian.

The aim of the event was to have the wines introduced to another potential buyer and consumer groups, thereby improve their reputation and increase their sales volume.
